Migrant Women Leadership and Mentoring Program - Graduation 2011
A group of women from Afghani, African and Iraqi backgrounds undertook the Migrant Women Leadership and Mentoring Program over a period of 3 months, including face to face tuition, work placements and mentoring opportunities.
The program prepared the women for future leadership opportunities. All participants were supported to prepare their Aspirational Plan, which included pathways to paid and voluntary positions of influence. They researched, planned and prepared a basic grant application for one service gap, specific to their community.
The pictures were taken during the graduation ceremony.
The women’s Leadership and Mentor Program funded by the African Leadership, Learning and Advocacy Group Inc (ALLAG) and the training delivered by Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre (MRC).
