Working with migrants and refugees to successfully settle and participate in all aspects of community life by:
- Influencing society to build more inclusive communities;
- Delivering culturally appropriate and responsive settlement & family services;
- Making immigration advice affordable for individuals and employers.
- Empowering communities to identify and address settlement challenges;
- Providing culturally-tailored, hands-on & job-focused training;
- Transitioning jobseekers into sustainable employment;
- Assisting ageing migrants and people with a disability to participate in life at home and in the community.
KEY RESULT AREA 1: BUILDING COMMUNITY CAPACITY & RESPONSIVENESS
GOAL 1.1 Adopt a comprehensive, sustainable program and service growth strategy that has a focus on addressing unmet (or partially met) needs of migrants and refugees during the different phases of settlement and life stages.
GOAL 1.2 Improve business processes to better support knowledge transfer and support organisation learning around community need and client-focused ways of working.
GOAL 1.3 Review organisation legal structure / develop and implement a considered membership and supporter development strategy.
GOAL 1.4 Ensure programs and services are responsive to client and community need, are of high quality and fully comply with funders’ requirements.
KEY RESULT AREA 2: COLLECTING THE EVIDENCE, TELLING THE STORIES
GOAL 2.1 Develop and use a fast turn around capacity to inform and respond to media representation of issues involving migrants and Refugees.
GOAL 2.3 Build the profile and reputation of Spectrum MRC with communities, service providers and decision makers including funders.
GOAL 2.2 Remain in touch with the realities of migrants and refugees experiences; and the issues & circumstances affecting their lives in order to ensure programs and advocacy effort are most responsive and effective.
KEY RESULT AREA 3: ENSURING OUR EFFECTIVENESS
GOAL 3.1 Ensure continuing excellence in governance and leadership.
GOAL 3.2: Build effective and outcome-oriented partnerships that add demonstrable value to effort.
GOAL 3.3: Strengthen and align Spectrum MRC’s organisation culture to best support achievement of our Mission and strategic directions, and enhance efficiency.
GOAL 3.4: Ensure Spectrum MRC has the ‘right’ management and workforce to deliver its programs and services and achieve strategic and growth Objectives.
