As Spectrum’s Chief Executive Officer, Rosemary Kelada heads up the Spectrum MRC Management Team. Rosemary Kelada was appointed as CEO of Spectrum MRC in October 2008, she was formerly Spectrum’s Finance and Corporate Services Manager. Rosemary is passionate about ensuring Spectrum continues to make a difference in the lives of migrants and refugees and dedicates boundless energy in achieving this with her Board, Executive Management team and dedicated staff. During her 25 years of professional working life, she has held various roles in both the community and private sector, one of which was selling real estate, which she found immensely satisfying, because it gave her the opportunity to meet many interesting people from different backgrounds. She has a Master of Business (Accounting) and in July 2012 attend a course at Harvard university business school through a part-scholarship from Harvard University. Rosemary is of Italian–Egyptian heritage background and was recently nominated as a finalist for the 2012 Victorian Telstra Business Women's Award.

Spectrum MRC is governed by a voluntary Board of Management, which is made up of 10 ordinary members and 5 co-opted members. Our Board Members are individuals who bring skills from a variety of fields – academia, accounting, auditing, finance, health, IT, legal, local government – from the community and business sectors, both locally and internationally. They are passionate about improving the lives of migrants and refugees settling in Australia.

Ms Anthea Green (Chairperson) has had a career in managing health care organisations that deliver health, ageing or disability services in the public, private and not for profit sectors in Australia and New Zealand. She was a Chief Executive of various organisations for more than 23 years. She is currently a Director on three boards, two in healthcare and one not for profit in migrant services. Anthea brings a wealth of knowledge to the board in the areas of change management, health service delivery innovation, human resources management, stakeholder management, managing the interface between various governments and the private sector and government negotiations involving funding for health care and disability services.

Mr Tam Pham (Vice-Chairperson) has more than 17 years experienced in implementing and optimising technologies to effectively service professional firms. Currently a Chief Information Officer at BDO (NSW-VIC) with strong record of success in working with various service lines leaders, executives and committees locally and abroad on all operational, strategic and governance aspects concerning Information Communication and Technology (ICT). Tam has been instrumental in delivering many successful local, national and international projects. He demonstrates strong work ethic and leadership acumen and is highly regarded by staff, management, peers, vendors and service providers within the industry.

Mr Sumith Perera (Treasurer) re-joined the Spectrum Board in June 2012. Sumith is the Chief Operating Officer at Hall & Wilcox Lawyers. He is a Chartered Accountant with a broad commercial background having worked in many industries directly or in a consulting capacity. Previously Sumith was a Board member for five years and Treasurer for three years. He is passionate about Spectrum and its role in assisting migrants to settle and have a fulfilling life in Australia.

Ms Durkhanai Ayubi (Secretary) is a migrant of Afghan descent, having moved to Australia with her family in 1987 and works as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Federal Government. She is assistant editor of an online magazine, Sultana’s Dream, aimed at facilitating a proactive and unreserved dialogue between Muslim women in Australia and the broader community. She is also a social commentator who has been published in a range of Australian media outlets on issues of national significance effecting migrant communities across Australia. She brings to the board her skills in policy development, strategic positioning and stakeholder management.

Ms Sarah Hayton (Board Member, Immediate Past Chairperson) was elected to the board in 2006. She is a qualified solicitor who is involved in governance training in Indigenous communities. Sarah’s skills and knowledge inform several areas of service delivery at Spectrum, including education, legal and employment services as well as the broader issues of governance.

Ms Silvana Scibilia (Board Member) was co-opted to the board in 2008. Silvana is the Coordinator of Capacity Building Programs and a Lecturer at the Sir Zelman Cowan Centre, Faculty of Business and Law at Victoria University. She is committed to social justice and has extensive experience in education and in particular with Indigenous communities. Silvana has worked extensively in the disability and health care sector with CALD communities and has held positions on various administrative tribunals at both State and Federal levels, including as head of the IDRP (Intellectual Disability Review Panel). She has broad management experience and a lifelong personal and professional interest in migrant issues.

Ms Lyndal Turner Guy (Board Member) was co-opted to the board in 2008. She is a practising solicitor, whose fields of expertise are property and commercial law and she is a Principal with Kearney Guy Legal. Lyndal was introduced to the Spectrum MRC through her involvement in drafting the revised Constitution.

Ms Sonia Vignjevic (Board Member) is the National Program Manager of three government funded national programs targeting Asylum Seekers at the Australian Red Cross. She holds a bachelor of Arts Degree Major in Psychology and Human Movement from Deakin University and a Graduate Certificate in Trauma Counselling and Psychotherapy and is also a registered Migration Agent. Sonia was a board member of Serbian Community Association of Australia (previously SWAV) for 12 years holding positions as executive member and vice president. Sonia has had 16 years Management experience in the Refugee & Migrant Services field and she has been actively involved in a range of projects over this time. She is a strong advocate in the field of Refugee and Asylum Seeker sector and often consulted in this field nationally. She has been involved in advocating for supportive and inclusive national policies around migration and settlement.

| Ms Kate Wilkie (Board Member) is the Financial Controller of the Taverners Group, which includes the Scanlon Foundation. She brings a wealth of experience to the board in providing a full range of accounting, audit, advisory and corporate finance services to both large private businesses, public companies and NFPs. Over 13 years Kate has worked with many listed and non-listed boards to enhance all corporate governance requirements and implement rigorous reporting and internal control frameworks. Kate is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with a degree of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a non-executive director of National Patient Transport.

Ms Gerri Christie (Board Member) trained as a primary school teacher and taught for five years in country schools in South Australia. In 1990 she changed career direction and began her own marketing company before being offered the position of Director of Development, firstly with a private school, followed by the Women’s & Children’s Hospital in SA, and then a number of national NFP organisations. Her previous position was CEO of the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Victoria for a period of six years.
