To foster the sharing and continuation of traditions between generations of the Macedonian community, Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre (MRC)’s Macedonian Planned Activity Group partnered with Lalor North Primary School (LNPS) to establish an innovative project.
School kids shared a morning of weaving lessons, cooking and dancing with senior members of the Macedonian Planned Activity Group. This successful event was followed by a session that involved the elderly members of the Macedonian PAG visiting the school and participating in activities. As a result of the success of the project Spectrum MRC and the Lalor North Primary school plan to extend this innovative project to include other PAG communities.
