Structured Learning Program
Spectrum Education & Training (SET) is working in partnership with the Department of Human Services and Hume City Council to deliver a Structured Learning Program to people living in and around Broadmeadows. The objective of this program is to provide supported entry to employment for disadvantaged Hume residents, using accredited education and training as a tool for employment preparation.
Hume City Council will be offering Work Placement for students who are completing the Certificate III Childrens Services and Certificate III Aged Care & Home and Community Care. For those participants who successfully complete their training and work placement, there are opportunities for paid employment.
All students who participate in the program will undergo employment readiness workshops which will involve resume writing and students will also have exposure to the Hume City Council’s staff induction program. Each participant will be actively supported into work placement and where suitable and relevant, Spectrum training staff will be actively supporting students into paid employment.
We would like participants who are currently accessing services from the Department of Human Services, to be offered the opportunity to partake in this program.
