The Experience Counts project is an innovative program designed to link skilled mature age workers, from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, into employment in the aged care industry, and provide new employment pathways for people who have either been retrenched or unemployed. Spectrum is proud of our award winning aged care service that is culturally responsive to the communities that we support, by matching the culture and language skills of workers to families.

We’re looking for an experienced project leader with a commitment to assist in establishing a workforce that provides casual employment to mature aged workers (55+) retrenched or re entering the workforce. If you have experience in marketing, workforce development (recruitment / training) and enjoy working collaboratively with other stakeholders, then this might be the next exciting role for you!

Requirements

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination ideally within an aged care / HACC / Human Services environment;
  • Some experience in recruitment and training;
  • Knowledge of home and community care industry needs, particularly in relation to workforce development;
  • Demonstrated competence in planning and priority setting, including the ability to meet accountability and reporting requirements and deadlines;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated administrative experience, including proficient use of MS Office;
  • Demonstrated understanding of the learning needs of people from migrant and refugee backgrounds;
  • A current drivers license and access to a fully maintained vehicle.

Other Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Fluency in a second language
  • Knowledge of age care providers and industries in northern and western metropolitan Melbourne
