About the Role
  • Provide day to day supervision to care administrative staff
  • Assist MHSS Team Leader in the development and review of operational program policies and guidelines
  • Supervising and reviewing incident reporting processes
  • Handling day to day communications with key stakeholders, including staff, case managers, care recipients and carers
  • Monitoring administrative procedures to ensure ISO standards are maintained
  • Organise monthly team meetings with staff and quarterly meetings with direct care staff
  • Work proactively with team staff to address professional development needs for care administrative staff
  • To handle complex phone and electronic enquiries and follow up appropriately with families, multicultural home support workers and case managers
  • To update and maintain the service roster to ensure that clients are provided with agreed service outcomes
  • Oversee all reporting and accountability requirements within a timely manner
  • Ensure that services are being delivered within program standards and guidelines

Requirements

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience in the coordination of programs
  • Demonstrated ability to provide support and supervision to staff, including conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated competence in planning and priority setting, including the ability to meet accountability and reporting requirements and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in working with staffing rosters and experience in using computers (preferably experienced in using Goldcare)
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and review of policy and procedures
  • Ability to maintain and organize rostering requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of people from migrant and refugee backgrounds
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of people who are ageing and the needs of their carers
  • Previous experience working in aged care or similar human services program at a coordination level
  • A current drivers license
  • Fully maintained vehicle
  • A current drivers license and access to own vehicle during work hours
  • Demonstrated positive values of integrity, accountability, reliability and working as part of a team.

Other Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Ability to speak a second language will be highly regarded
