Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre is a non-profit organisation established 25 years ago to provide resources and services to migrants and refugees.

In addition to settlement support and aged care, we currently have 5 employment offices (job network) that assist CALD jobseekers into work. We are looking for a new Employment Consultant for our Thomastown Office. This is a great opportunity for a compassionate, positive and helpful professional to really make a positive difference to the lives of our jobseekers. There are many reasons why people are unemployed and our role is to work alongside jobseekers to help address the barriers to them finding, and staying employed.

You'll need to be genuinely interested in working with culturally and linguistically diverse people and understand the issues facing CALD jobseekers. In addition to exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others, you'll need to be very organised to balance direct client work with case notes and a reasonable heavy administrative load.
