About the Role

Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre is a leading non-profit organisation that provides specialist support and services to migrants and refugees. Spectrum currently has more than 200 staff working across 7 sites, delivering more than 34 contracts from 13 different funding sources. Key service delivery areas include aged & disability, employment, education, youth & family and settlement. Spectrum is recognised within the sector for being innovative and has won recent best practice awards for service delivery. Following a recent internal promotion, we have a rare opportunity to join our management team and be part of this award winning organisation.

We’re looking for a systems guru, with strong people management skills and the ability to drive performance improvements across the organisation. You’ll need well developed interpersonal skills and have proven performance in all key areas of this role: Finance, IT, Quality and Customer Service.

Requirements

Essential

  • Relevant formal tertiary qualifications in Business/Accounting/HR/ IT.
  • Considerable experience managing corporate services within a medium/large organization.
  • Well developed financial management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead a high performing team, to develop staff, facilitate planning and manage performance.
  • A capacity to work at both a strategic and hands-on to meet regular deadlines and be able to juggle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast changing environment.
  • Past experience leading quality assurance and a well developed understanding of quality and continuous improvement principles.
  • Proven initiative and the ability to implement change that drives improved business performance and responds to growth and introduction of new technologies.
  • A strong understanding of the funding contract compliance requirements, charitable taxation, legal and administrative requirements in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Highly developed knowledge of new and emerging IT and administrative systems & technologies.
  • High level problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills.

Other Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience

· Strong cross-cultural competencies will be highly regarded

· Post graduate qualifications in Management
