Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre is a leading non-profit organisation that provides specialist support and services to migrants and refugees. Spectrum currently has 200 + staff, delivering more than 30 contracts from 12 different funding sources. Key service delivery areas include aged & disability, education & employment, settlement and family services.

Be part of this progressive leadership team and help us implement the new strategic plan for 2009 - 2012. We’re looking for an experienced manager with proven performance in all key areas of this role: Finance, IT, Quality & HR. You’re highly developed leadership skills and the ability to lead change and drive improvements in all support areas will set you apart from other candidates.

Requirements

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

Essential

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (eg: Business, Accounting, HR).
  • Considerable experience managing corporate services within a medium sized organization.
  • Well developed financial management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead a high performing team, to develop staff, facilitate planning and manage performance in a cross-cultural environment.
  • A capacity to work at both a strategic and hands-on to meet regular deadlines and be able to juggle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast changing environment.
  • Past experience leading quality assurance and a well developed understanding of quality and continuous improvement principles.
  • Proven initiative and the ability to implement change that drives improved business performance and responds to growth and introduction of new technologies.
  • A strong understanding of the funding contract compliance requirements, charitable taxation, legal and administrative requirements in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Highly developed knowledge of new and emerging IT and administrative systems & technologies.
  • High level problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills.

Other Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong cross-cultural competence and a second language will be well regarded
  • Post graduate qualifications in Management
