| About the Role |
Coordinate recruitment and selection of new MHSS workers
- Participate in the induction and orientation of new MHSS workers, including providing training and briefings on MHSS policies and procedures.
- Coordinate training MHSS workers, including the review of Certificate III documentation in conjunction with the nominated tertiary provider
- Coordinate access to HACC training calendar for workforce to facilitate ongoing professional development
- Mentor new workers in their MHSS role
- Organize and monitor police checks
- Coordinate effective return to work strategies for MHSS workers in the case of illness or injury
- Establish links with Employment Service Providers (ESPs) and Ethinic community organizations through attendance at strategic net work meetings to promote Spectrum’s presence in the western region and the availability of employment to match client groups.
- Link trainees or workers into other services that may support their ability to study or work (eg. Housing; mental health)

| Requirements |
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in the recruitment of staff
- Demonstrated experience in organizing and reviewing the training needs of staff
- Demonstrated competence in planning and priority setting, including the ability to meet accountability and reporting requirements and deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding of the learning needs of people from migrant and refugee backgrounds;
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated administrative experience, including sound computer skills
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of people from migrant and refugee backgrounds
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of people who are ageing or with a disability and the needs of their carers
- Previous experience working in aged and disability or similar human services program
- A current drivers license and access to own vehicle during work hours
- Demonstrated positive values of integrity, accountability, reliability and working as part of a team.
Other Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Ability to speak a second language will be highly regarded
