The Refugee Action Program (RAP) is an initiative of the Victorian Multicultural Commission and a collaborative project covering LGAs across the northern metropolitan region of Melbourne. The RAP is based on an innovative community development model which aims to identify local solutions to address local issues. Working in partnership with local service providers and refugee communities in the north, the RAP will provide ongoing opportunities to identify critical settlement and integration issues at a local level. Spectrum MRC has been nominated as a provider under this extension to the Refugee Brokerage Program and will provide operational supervision and support to the RAP Co-ordinator. The Coordinator will work closely with local service providers and refugee community partners to develop and implement collaborative and sustainable responses to local settlement issues in line with an Approved Work Plan. This is an exciting and important partnership program between local service providers and refugee communities that can make a longer lasting impact on the settlement and integration of refugees in the North.
