About the Role

The Industry Co-ordinator, Community Services will work within Spectrum Education and Training (SET) and report directly to the Program and Student Liaison Coordinator.

The key objectives of this position are to ensure SET’s training and assessment resources meet the needs of participants from both CALD backgrounds and with literacy and numeracy difficulties, as well as meet all AQTF standards.

Requirements

Essential

  1. Possess a tertiary qualification in either Tourism, Hospitality and Events; Retail or Business Services and current industry experience.
  2. Possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  3. Demonstrated effective resource coordination experience, especially staff.
  4. Highly organised and able to juggle multiple tasks and to change priorities as the need arises, under limited supervision.
  5. Well developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to promote to and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, especially employers and industry associations.
  6. Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team.
  7. Proficient in MS Office and the ability to present information in varying formats.
  8. A current driver’s license and access to own vehicle during work hours.

Other Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  1. Experience in training around language, literacy & numeracy (LLN).
  2. Previous experience working with CALD clients/students.
  3. Ability to speak a second language.
