Northern Migrant Resource Centre

The SMRC’s CALD Seniors Surfers is a community-based project funded by the State Government of Victoria, for which the State Library of Victoria is the project administrator.

The SMRC‘s has established two public internet computers at its Preston site and at Regent centre for CALD seniors from the Chinese community and the Macedonian Community.

The SMRC aims through the project to encourage senior members from these communities to participate in training provided by VIC NET and to gain computer skills, so as to surf the net or send emails to family and friends overseas.
