Fee for Service Program
SMRC operates a fee for service component of the Multicultural Home Support Service in with the MHSS workforce can be purchase through a brokerage arrangement to provide home care, personal care and respite support to people who are frail aged, have a disability or who are accessing short term post-acute care support. The program can provide both short term emergency support and long term staffing support.
The MHSS program employs a pool of trained and experienced staff who are able to speak over 40 different languages and dialects. This means the program has the ability to match workers to the specific language, cultural, religious and gender requirements of the care recipient. It gives both the care recipient and the carer the confidence to accept services from someone who is culturally sensitive and able to communicate appropriately.
