Adult Day Care
Adult Day Care refers to people who have been assessed as having “high” level support needs. Programs are centre based and focus on activities of cultural interest to each group including music, arts and crafts, games (eg cards, bocce), gentle exercise, and home country news and information.
Each group has a Team Leader that is able to speak the required language and Therapy Aides, Cooks and Drivers are employed to ensure that culturally specific services are provided at all times. Groups operate from 9am – 3pm.
SMRC currently provides Adult Day Care to the following ethno-specific groups:
Monday – Macedonian (Regent)
Tuesday – Italian (Regent)
Wednesday – Macedonian (Regent)
Thursday – Polish (Regent)
Friday – Italian (Ivanhoe)
