About the Role

Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre has more than 25 years experience providing support and services to migrants and refugees to enable them to successfully settle in Australia. Our Settlement Team is looking for a new full time worker to:

  • deliver high quality immigration and general settlement casework with priority to humanitarian refugee entrants
  • design and deliver cross-cultural training packages to service providers
  • deliver community capacity building projects

Requirements
  • Migration registration and/or relevant tertiary qualifications in social work/psychology or related disciplines and experience in the area of migrant settlement or a related human services sector
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of immigration and settlement services
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including skills in addressing groups and public speaking
  • Excellent cross cultural counseling and case management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to enhance the team environment
  • Well developed computer skills, including proficient use of MS Office
