Wandering Souls Day Ceremony
Wandering Souls Day is the second-largest Vietnamese festival of the year. The ceremony, which includes food offerings, is about paying tribute to deceased ancestors, while burning incense sticks and praying for the ancestors. During the ceremony, gifts are burnt, as a way to bring good fortune to those who have passed away. Burning paper representing money, gold and silver is thought to benefit the ancestors. The pictures have been taken during the Wandering Soul Ceremony held my the members of Spectrum MRC's Clifton Respite Cottage's Vietnamese Group.
