JOB NETWORK

A Job Network is a national network of private and community organisation dedicated to finding jobs for eligibly people in receipt of Centrelink benfits. Particularly focusing on the long term unemployed, parents, mature and those with disabilities.

Spectrum Employment Services is a unique service that specilises in providing this assist to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse clients (CALD). Spectrum offers a variety of services including one on one assistance, job search training and intensive support for eligible clients and staff come from a number of diverse cultural backgrounds that can identify with clients needs.

SKILLFILL

Skillfill is a part of the Workforce Participation Partnerships. This Employment program is a state government funded initiative helping job seekers who have recently arrived in Australia and face barriers to employment.

The skillfill project was part of the Government’s major new approach of matching job seekers skills with employment opportunities. This project will give these job seekers the training, mentoring and support they need to find ongoing work in the areas identified. Skillfill specialises in skill shortage areas such as child care, aged care, trades and security.

Personal Support Program (PSP)

Spectrum Personal Support Program is a program that provides up to 2 years customised assistance and support to people on income support that are experiencing complex issues such as mental health issues, social isolation, domestic violence, substance abuse, gambling problems, homelessness etc.

Spectrum’s Personal Support Program consists of a highly specialized team, all of which have degrees in Psychology and further specialized training, who assist all PSP clients to reduce the severity of their issues and reach their full potential.

Spectrum’s Personal Support Program not only provides the individual with counselling to address their issues and to build self-esteem, confidence and motivation, but also links the individual into external services for further assistance to address more specific needs such as housing agencies, drug and alcohol rehabilitation services, support groups, training courses etc.

Currently Spectrum PSP service individuals across 7 different sites. These PSP sites are Preston, Thomastown, Heidelberg West, Coburg, Broadmeadows, St Albans and Newport.
