This project has a particular focus on engaging newly arrived young refugees and migrants from varied cultural/ethnic backgrounds, with separate groups established for male and female players, operating on different nights during the week. Sessions involve both practice and casual five-a-side games among participants, organised on a weekly basis over a period of 9-10 months. The program seeks to attract regular participation from approximately 20 boys and 15 girls at the respective sessions.
Spectrum MRC's Futsal Program is funded by the Newsboys Foundation and by the Rotary Club of Melbourne.
