COURSE DESCRIPTION

This introduction course is for people who want to explore community work as a potential career in the Government or non-Government sector.

The aim of this course is to provide training and skill development to allow access to a range of potential career paths within the Community Services Industry.

Career Opportunities:

This course can lead to further studies in the areas of child care, disability, aged care or youth work.

In this course you will learn about the community services sector and explore specific contexts of work and develop fundamental skills in communication, information provision and processing, administration support, networking and group support

Articulation:

When you finish this course you will have achieved nationally recognised units of competency and will gain advanced standing into Community Services qualifications at Certificate III level.
